Overcoming Magic Barriers in Dragons Dogma 2
Magic-resistant dragons pose a formidable challenge, effectively negating your offensive spells. To counter this, consider investing skill points into the Sorcerer’s “Veil of Woe” ability, which debuffs enemy resistance to magic. Alternatively, equip your party members with weapons enchanted with the “Anodyne” ability, which temporarily nullifies resistance.
Taming the Elemental Dragons
Elemental dragons are notoriously resistant to their corresponding elements. Instead of casting spells directly at these dragons, convert those spells into powerful buffs for your party members. For example, casting “Ingle” on your bow will imbue your arrows with fire damage, bypassing the dragon’s resistance. This strategy allows you to exploit the dragon’s weaknesses without suffering the resistance penalty.
Exploiting Physical Vulnerability
While magic-resistant dragons excel in resisting magical attacks, their physical defense is often weaker. Focus on using physical attacks, such as melee strikes or ranged arrows, to damage these dragons. Additionally, consider using abilities that enhance your physical damage output, such as the Ranger’s “Carnage Shot” or the Warrior’s “Dragon’s Maw.”
